With the M80 a 2-minute drive from our Robroyston new builds, getting into the centre of Glasgow couldn’t be easier. And if you head in the opposite direction, Stirlingshire can be reached in less than 30 minutes.
Robroyston train station is a quick 8-minute walk from Darach Fields, making it ideal for commuters, who can hop onto any of the half hourly services to Glasgow Queen Street station, Falkirk or Cumbernauld.
The nearest bus stop from the development can be found on Kilkerran Drive and reached in 9 minutes on foot. From there, you can catch the hourly 19A line between Robroyston and Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station.
And for trips to sunnier destinations, Glasgow Airport is less than 20 minutes away by car via the M8, where you can catch direct flights to Turkey, Malta and Spain, among others.
Things to do around Robroyston
Robroyston Park is a 20-minute walk from our new homes in Robroyston, with plenty of green space and walking paths to explore. There are also two golf courses (Littlehill Golf Club and Crow Wood Golf Club) within a 4-mile radius for anyone looking to hit a few balls.
Thrill seekers will want to head over to TeamSport Go Karting in Cambuslang, while the little ones can have fun at Gladigator’s Fun Factory, which can be reached by car in 8 minutes.
Fancy a great breakfast? Head over to Delricos in nearby Stepps, or if it’s burgers, grills and carved meat you’re after, Wallace Well Farm covers all your needs 1 mile or so down the road.
With Aldi, ASDA and Lidl 5 minutes or less by car, there is plenty of choice in the area for your weekly shops. As for retail therapy, Glasgow Fort is a 5-mile drive from Darach Fields and is home more than 100 high street and branded fashion shops, restaurants and cafés for a great day out.
Schools in Robroyston
Wallacewell Primary School is the closest primary school to our new homes in Robroyston, located just over a mile away, catering for children between the ages of 4-11. Other options are Stepps Primary School (ages 4-11) and St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School (ages 4-11) in Cardowan, both within a 4 mile radius of Darach Fields.
Secondary education can be found at All Saints RC Secondary School (6 minutes by car) as well as at Smithycroft Secondary School and Ashton Secondary School, both less than a 10-minute drive away. All these schools are for children aged 11-18.
For the little ones, Happitots Nursery Robroyston (ages 0-5) is a 20-minute walk from Darach Fields (or a 3-minute drive), while Flying Start Nursery can be reached by car in around 5 minutes and caters for young ones between the ages of 0-4.
For local higher education, Glasgow is home to three main universities: University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University.
